Kelly Marolda's Favorite Airlines

Top 5 Best Airlines

The Top 5 Best Airlines - by Kelly Marolda

Kelly Marolda loves to travel and I have the airline miles to prove it and without a doubt "Kelly Marolda is the Queen of Travel".

Like you, I plan to do a lot of traveling this summer and most of it will be by air. It's for that reason I wanted to share my top five airlines.

Regardless of where you're flying to, there are a couple "Kelly Marolda" rules when it comes to flying and choosing the right airlines.

1) Kelly Marolda Doesn't fly Coach - I've worked hard enough that I can pamper myself from time to time. So when it comes to flying, I don't fly first class but I don't skimp either. Many airlines offer Business Class seating or something similar. I found that flying business give me the perks I'm looking for. So when it comes to getting "Kelly Marolda" from point A to B, I want to do it as comfortably as possible.

2) Pre-Boarding. Many airlines offer per-boarding when you pay them a little extra. Some require knowing how to talk to someone at the gate before your flight. When it comes to getting things done, I prefer to pull out the "Sweet Kelly Marolda" I am, and ask for the perks I'm looking for. Remember the employees manning the boarding gate can be your best friend if you know what to say and how to say it.

3) Travel Light then Heavy - I typically fly just my laptop bag, 1 carry on and check in an empty suitcase. Why? Because I've learned that most everything I need is less expensive at my destination. Take flying to Hawaii for example. I've made the mistake of flying to Hawaii with more clothes and shoes that's needed. The reality is that I'm almost always in sandals and a shorts - unless of course your "Kelly Marolda" is hitting the town. Most of what I need can be purchased once I get there. Beside, shopping is one of my passions. That's why Kelly travels light and comes backs with full suit cases of all the nice things I've purchased on my trip.

3) Airline Staff - To "Kelly Marolda" a mean spirited flight crew can make or break your travel plans. If "Kelly Marolda" wants more nuts or an extra little bottle, I should get it. That's why I only fly with airlines who have a solid track record of friendliness.

These are just some of "Kelly Marolda's" little must haves. So here is my top 5 airlines I prefer to do business with:

KELLY MAROLDA'S FAVORITE AIRLINES

Alaska Airlines is my favorite. They earn my high marks for its inflight service, loyalty program and for friendliness. Since Alaska Airlines merged with Virgin America it's even gotten better. The folks at Alaska Air are simply amazing. Always there when you need something. They don't gouge you for a suitcase that may be a pound or two over and have generous leg room when it comes to seating. At least of most of their flights.

JetBlue and Southwest are tied for my second favorite. Remember what I said earlier? About Kelly Marolda being the queen of travel? Look I'm picky so when it comes to my recommendations, I get serious. Both Southwest and JetBlue are hard if not impossible to beat when it comes to price but with both these airlines, I don't feel like I'm sacrificing much and am still able to save a buck. Those bucks go a long way when it comes to saving up for my "Lava Flows". Both airlines offer comfort seating and other amenities such as friendly staff and extra muchies or drinks when I request them.

Delta Airlines, comes in at number 3. They offer worldwide destination and do a good job with being on time. Remember, Kelly Marolda doesn't skimp if she doesn't have to. Delta has newer seatback screens, USB ports and reasonably priced Wi-Fi. Delta's mobile app also allows me to upgrade through their app if I need to. I can't tell you how many times I arrived at the terminal only to find an over crowed flight. That's when Kelly Marolda gets on the Delta mobile app and upgrades right there on the spot.

American Airlines is my 4th favorite airline. Over the years they've felt the competition and have made great strides on improving their service.

And last but not least, "Kelly Marolda's" 5th favorite airline is Air France. On those long over sea flights, comfort is the name of the game. When Kelly Marolda needs to stretch or legs or ask for another pillow or blanket, Kelly get's it and without any problems. Air France has always been attentive to their customers and probably gets a #1 ranking when it comes to have a courteous and friendly staff.

So there you have it. When someone asks me "Hey Kelly who is your favorite airline", my answer has been, go check on my blog post 🙂

I hope this short list of Kelly Marolda's Favorite Airlines has helped.

If you disagree, tell me why. If you agree, then tell me why as well.
